St. Albans City Park Free Tree Pruning Workshop April 9 at Take a Walk on The Wild Side Nature Hike

FreeThe St. Albans Parks and Recreation Department has announced a free tree pruning workshop on Saturday, April 9, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the St. Albans City Park after the Take a Walk on The Wild Side Nature Hike.
The workshop will be conducted by St. Albans resident Liz Moss, an Extension Agent of Traditional and Urban Forestry with the West Virginia State University Extension Service. Liz has been with WVSUES since January 2020 and formerly worked with the WV Division of Forestry as an Urban Forester and the University of Georgia Center for Invasive Species & Ecosystem Health as a Forest Health Technician.
The workshop is being held in conjunction with the St. Albans City Park “Take A Walk On The Wild Side” Nature Hikes event and is sponsored by the St. Albans Parks and Recreation Department and the WVSU Extension Service Agriculture and Natural Resources Division.
How to Register
Participants in the workshop will learn how to make proper pruning cuts and will receive free hand pruning tools and eye protection. Those interested in participating in this workshop should register at conta.cc/3qL3wSy. Once registration is completed, you will receive a welcome email from the workshop coordinator.
