Mayor Scott James proclaimed May 21, 2022, as Kids to Parks Day in St. Albans, WV, to celebrate the 12th anniversary of National Kids to Parks Day. This is an excellent opportunity for our community to come together and explore all that our parks have to offer.
The St. Albans Parks & Recreation Department has events scheduled throughout May to celebrate, including the Annual Spring Fling at Roadside Park on May 14 and the End of School Summer Kick-Off Pool Party scheduled for May 27 at City Park Pool.
National Kids to Parks Day is a national day of outdoor play celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May that connects kids and families with their local, state, and national parks and public lands.
For more information about National Kids to Park Day or any of the events scheduled in May, contact St. Albans Parks & Recreation Program Coordinator Scott Tweedy at (304) 722-4625.
