StoryWalk® is an innovative outdoor reading experience at St. Albans City Park. Along the nature trail, pages from a children’s book are displayed at stations, allowing families to enjoy a story while walking. Designed to promote physical activity, literacy, and family fun, the project initially targets young readers aged 4-7, with plans to add books for older readers in the future.
The Friends of the Alban Arts & Conference Center have been instrumental in bringing the StoryWalk® project to life. As a dedicated supporter of arts and educational initiatives, their contributions have helped channel funding for the installation of the StoryWalk® stations and inspire a continuous supply of engaging stories for our trail. Their commitment to enhancing community arts and literacy exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and support that makes projects like StoryWalk® possible.
